Let’s slow it down a little, shall we? Let’s take a pause in the month and get a little grounded in what it’s all about. Let’s be present in the moment. Light a candle. Play some jazzy Christmas music, and just create for creating sake.

In this lesson we are going to build an art page fit for any space in your STORYED album. Using ink, stencils, stamps, sprays, and collage paper, layering all the artful things is always a beautiful refueling of the soul.

***NOTE Watch video first to get a feel for where this art journal page is going. In the GATHER video I forgot to talk about the Decoupage Paper. 

Border the edges of Mixed Media paper with Mint Tape.

Ink the paper with Bundled Sage. Layer in a bit of Distressed Tiles stenciling.

With Evergreen Bough, add inking to the corners, then stencil from the edges with the Seasonal Blooms Stencil.

Tear pieces of the collage paper and collage at the top edge as well as the lower edge with a paint brush and craft glue.

With Season of Joy Background stamp, stamp Bundled Sage along the edges.

Stamp sentiments + postage marks with the Winter Etchings stamp and Rustic Wilderness ink.

In this order layer the dimensional elements with double adhesive and or hot glue: striped label, laser cut sentiment, laser cut botanicals, die cut botanical. Then finish with the stag rub on.
