In the spirit of sharing ideas for processing out these pages in what I think is a very doable way, how about using printables, and maybe even stamps, for prompts? What if a printable prompted in you a story or an idea? What about stamps? Using stamps for journal inspiration. Watch this video to see just what I mean.

  1. Make your own prompts. With alpha stickers. You can use words like: goals. Today. This. Grateful. Finally. Brainstorm words for you to use as your own prompts.

  2. As stated above: use the printables for prompts too. The prompt can be title to a page. Plus the jumping off place for the journaling that can be utilized for that day as well. It’s a great use of printables. I am doing this on the week spread found in this lesson for two of the days.

  3. This might be super obvious…but maybe not. Photos. Use the photo to prompt your words. As seen here, I took a photo of a flower as I most usually do of a morning. I then post these on Stories in Instagram. Often these might be the only photo I take in a day. And so the photo becomes my story. This here in particular could be the story of these zinnias this year and how prolific they have become this time of the summer. It could be the story of the morning and what I was doing and thinking. It could be journaling about the ending of summer and how I will miss the color. Do you get the idea?

  4. Stickers. Stickers are great prompts too. Sometimes I think maybe we use stickers to emphasize what a photo is. Or what the story is. For Prompts I’m gonna say let’s turn that around. Let’s use the sticker as the prompt. Start with the sticker first. The sticker I am using here is LOVE. Which, that in and of itself is it’s own prompt, right? But it just so happens to be part of this particular kit. It just so happens to be orange which is the color of the page. When I was looking over the stickers and noticed that one it sort of just made the decision for me. LOVE. I am going to write about what it is I love here in this day.

  5. Stamps. Fantastic prompts. Let’s look at our stamps a little differently. Again, we use our tools in one way, and then we kind of forget to change the perspective and look at them another way. So let’s do that here. Having already used this stamp this month, it really did become quite a theme on the month. I love how that happened, actually. I love how this mantra came to the surface and really gave this month a topic. Sometimes this happens. Sometimes it does not. But I’m going to use that stamp again because it fits. It works. It’s going to cause me to pause and really focus on the words and derive the story from them.

Prompts. Whether customized. Printables. Photos. Stickers or even stamps. Prompts are great ways to format a page. Don’t know what to say? Don’t have anything to memory planner about? Prompts are a keen solution to this very common problem. And what an amazing way these words and phrases will help you to tell the story you might not have even known you had to tell.
