MEMORYDEX | The Not So Basic Basics
Supplies needed:
Paper Scrap pieces
Ink Distress Oxide Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet
Tools:
Adhesives
Trim Mix Media Paper to 4 inches wide by 3 ¼ inches tall.
Trim an additional piece of Pattern Paper 4 inches wide by 2 inches tall.
Take a bit out of the top with the 2 In Paper Punch.
Ink edges with Distress Oxide Ink.
Add layers of stencils like Scattered Hearts, small Dots, and Little Boxes with additional Distress Oxide and an Ink Blending Brush.
If desired sprinkle Distress Spritz as an additional layer over the stenciling.
Using ⅛ inch double sided adhesive add to 3 sides of the 4x2 paper leaving the top with no adhesive. Adhere to the main card to create a pocket MemoryDex Card.
Prepare cluster elements:
Die cut Vintage Label from Pattern Paper and distress edges with sand paper or a distress tool.
As was done in Lesson 1 with the stamped heart and Victorian Velvet, stamp again on Mixed Media Paper and fussy cut out the middle with a craft knife.
Stamp a smaller heart and fussy cut around edges.
Stamp sentiment on scrap paper with Ground Espresso Ink. Trim out making two sentiment strips.
Gather a postage ephemera or postage washi or even a postage die as an additional clustering piece.
Assemble:
Trim a piece of acetate 2 inches by 2 inches.
Build the clusters on the top inch of the acetate as follows:
Adhere label with double sided foam.
With a tiny attacher staple the larger heart to the postage embellishment, then adhere postage to the label allowing it to hang over the left edge a bit.
Adhere the smaller heart to the lower portion of the larger heart with pieces of double sided adhesive.
Do same with the sentiment strips layering over the smaller heart.
Using a piece of trim tie in a bow and adhere to the larger heart with a dot of craft glue or hot glue.
Tuck the acetate into the pocket.
